How to make payment?

    If you prefer this payment option, we will let you know by email the receiver’s details and the total amount to be transferred in MMK based on exchange rate of the day.


  4. Online Payment Credit Card – Payment Type (USD)

    For this payment, we will send a secure link from which you can make online payment with your credit card (VISA/Mastercard). Please note that there will be 4.2% bank charges on the total amount.

 

Do I need a visa and passport?

A valid passport (at least 6 months) with Entry Visa for Tourist is required to enter Myanmar of all visitors. (All ASEAN countries except Malaysia and Singapore get visa exemption – no need to apply for visa). Visa can be obtained at any Myanmar Embassy or Consulate offices abroad within 1 to 5 working days. The Entry Visa for Tourist and Visa on Arrival will allow a stay of 28 days and extendable for an additional 14 days.

E-visa can be applied here at http://evisa.moip.gov.mm/.

Overland entry is permitted for third country tourist with visa at Tachileik, Kaw Thaung and Myawaddy (Myanmar and Thai Borders) and Lwe-je, Muse and MongLar (Myanmar and China Borders).

 

Do I need special insurance to travel Myanmar?

Travel insurance is not included in our tour price. It is the passenger's responsibility to verify whether his/her local health insurance carrier provides coverage while traveling inside of the Myanmar. Please contact your insurance carrier for details. We strongly advise that you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy to cover all aspects of your tour; including the loss of deposits through cancellation, lost of baggage and personal items, personal injury and death. A waiver must be signed if insurance is declined.

 

What Currencies are acceptable?

The currency in Myanmar is the Kyat (MMK). Present denominations are in notes; Kyats: 10000, 5000, 1000, 500, 200, 100, 50, 20, 10, 5, 1. It is advisable to bring for personal expenses like meals, drinks, buying souvenirs etc. enough US$ or EURO in cash to Myanmar.

 

What is the best time to visit Myanmar?

You may visit Myanmar the whole year around.  However the best time is from November to February (Cool Season) because of the pleasant weather and well-known festivals. There are quite a lot  of Burmese Festivals that are celebrated across the country throughout the year.

From March to May is the Hot Season, you may enjoy the Water Festival (April) which is the most well-known Myanmar New Year Festival and you may visit to the Southern part of Myanmar, beaches, and cool place like Kalaw, Pyin Oo Lwin, and Northern part of Myanmar if you want to avoid the hot weather. From June to September is the rainy season, you may visit to the Middle part of Myanmar such as Bagan and Mandalay where there is less rain compared to other parts of the country.

 

What is the weather like?

Myanmar has three "seasons": - (1) Hot Season (March to May), (2) Rainy Season (June to September), (3) Cool Season (October to February). The weather is generally warm and dry except during the rainy season from late-May to September. In Northern and North-eastern areas, the weather is mild and cool in the nights. The Best time to visit Myanmar is during the cool Season.

Can we use credit cards in Myanmar?

Tourists and business travelers with a Visa Card, international MasterCard, Maestro card or Cirrus Card can withdraw money in the local currency (Kyats MMK) at ATMs of various banks around Myanmar including Yangon International Airport and major tourist destinations such as Mandalay, Bagan and Inle.

The maximum amount per withdrawal is 300,000 Kyats and the daily maximum amount of withdrawal is 1,000,000 Kyats. There will be a 5,000 Kyats fee for each transaction.

 

Is the internet available in Myanmar?

Internet access is widely available in big cities like Yangon and Mandalay and most hotels and some restaurants offer free Wi-fi connections.
