Day - 01 Arrival Yangon

Meet & greet by our company’s representative upon your arrival at Yangon International Airport. Transfer to your hotel for check-in. Overnight in Yangon.


Day - 02 Full day Yangon City Tour

Pick up at your hotel in the morning, the tour guide will lead you to the popular tourist attractions of Yangon. The following will include in your sightseeing program of the day: A short walking tour starting from City Hall Area (Sule Pagoda & Independence Monument are in close vicinity) to Pansodan Jetty to observe the old buildings of British Colonial Era. A short ferry ride across the river from the jetty to a bustling township called Dala. Once you get to the other side, take a 30-45 minutes’ rickshaw ride to explore around the area & observe the locals & their ways of life for an eye opener. Upon arrival back to Pansodan Jetty, transfer via our private a/c vehicle to Botahtaung Pagoda which enshrines a sacred hair relic of Lord Buddha (The meaning of Bo is "leader" and tahtaung is "a thousand"- named after the thousand military leaders who escorted relics of the Buddha brought from India over two thousand years ago) After that, tour will proceed to the National Museum to observe the Myanmar’s thousand-years-old history at a glance. In the late afternoon, you will visit the majestic Shwe Dagon Pagoda, the landmark of Myanmar & the most important religious site in the country. The 325ft zedi, adorned with 27 metric tons of gold leaf and thousands of diamonds and other gems, is believed to enshrine eight hairs of the Gautama Buddha as well as relics of three former Buddhas. The pagoda is now more than 2,600 years old & verifiable history records a pagoda at the site since the 6th Century AD. Thereafter, transfer to Kandawgyi Lake, built since British’s rule as a reservoir, which is now a popular recreational park by nearby locals. The Lake is best known for its Karaweik boat (located at its southeastern tip), a replica of a traditional Burmese royal boat. Be busy with your camera & your guide for what the Lake will offer you with the beautiful scenes in the evening. After that, enjoy your dinner at Karaweik Palace with one of the best cultural shows in the country. Enjoy the night in the park by the Lake until transfer back to hotel. Overnight at your hotel in Yangon.


Day - 03 Yangon - Mandalay

Pack your breakfast box. Early morning flight to Mandalay, the last capital of Myanmar kingdom founded in 1857 AD. From airport to city centre, drive almost an hour. En-route visit Amarapura, the former capital before Mandalay. U Bein wooden bridge (1.2 km) built over 160 years is a renowned common relaxation site. Nearby Mahagandayon monastery is the largest Buddhist learning centre. Mahamuni Buddha Image is believed to be cast in front of Buddha himself and nowadays richly bejeweled and thickly gilded. Local industries such as gold leaf hammering, marble carving, and tapestry making. Afternoon sightseeing includes Shwenandaw monastery – still existing masterpiece of last Myanmar kingdom's architecture in teak and wood carving & Kuthodaw Pagoda – renowned as the world's largest book and UNESCO’s heritage site. End the day at Mandalay Hill, regarded a natural watch tower in the plain region of Mandalay – to view the sunset. Overnight at Mandalay.


Day - 04 Mandalay: Inwa & Mingun

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Inwa (1364-1840 AD) also a former Royal capital of Myanmar located at the confluence of the Ayeyarwaddy River and Myitnge River. After crossing the Myitnge River by small boat, take a horse-carriage along the bumpy road to visit the ruins of the old royal capital includes the watch tower, the 27 meter tall leaning tower of old royal palace; Mahaaungmyebonzan monastery, the impressive brick and stucco monastery; Bargayamonastery – a splendid teak wood monastery with wood carving. Afternoon tour to Mingun village - it takes about an hour for the boat ride up-river to reach Mingun, located at the other side of the Ayeyarwaddy River in the north of Mandalay. The boat ride is always pleasant as one can learn the ways of local life along the river. Sightseeing to Pathodawgyi – believed to be one of the largest brick base in the world and it would be one of the wonders of the world in case if it was completed; Mingun bell – said to be world's biggest un-cracked and ringing bell and Myatheindan pagoda represents for Buddhist cosmology. Overnight at Mandalay.


Day - 05 Mandalay - Bagan by River Cruise (Estimate 8 hours)

Mandalay - Bagan : 129 nautical miles / Mandalay to Bagan: down river Carrier vessels – RV Shwekeinnery, RV MGRGand RV Malikha are plying between Mandalay and Bagan. Depart - 07:00, Estimate arrival to Nyaung U Jetty - 16:00

Enjoy and relax along mighty Ayeyarwaddy River. View the riverside villages at distance, fishing boats, drifting rafts and agricultural fields. Arrive by late afternoon to Nyaung U Jetty which is located at just above of old Bagan. Transfer to your hotel.

Alternative access by private car
Generally between mid-March to mid-October, River vessel services are available in limited days or in some months, totally shut down. Transportation by private car from Mandalay to Bagan (5 hours’ drive) will be used instead.


Day - 06 Bagan

Breakfast at hotel. Pick up by tour guide to see Bagan (11-13 AD), one of Asia's most popular archaeological destinations and one, out of two most pre-eminent religious old cities in South East Asia. Commence the day at a high temple where can see the panorama of Bagan. Sulamani temple was maintained by UNESCO as the stuccos and mural painting are still in good and precious. Gubyaukgyi Temple( Myingaba village) – the 12th century 'cave temple' with fine frescoes of Jataka scenes; Anada Temple, one of the masterpieces surviving and remaining in Bagan and considered to be in the Mon architecture style. A visit to the lacquer ware factory followed by a visit to a local village. Overnight at Bagan.


Day - 07 Bagan

After breakfast, morning visit bustling Nyaung Oo market. The ruined and scattered temples near Minanthu area is a worth exploration for its man-made grotto, frescos and tranquil ambiance. Lawkananda stupa sits by Shore of Ayeyarwaddy River & it is a favourite spot for local pilgrimage. Afternoon proceed to Shwezigon ceti considered as a holiest one. Htilominlo is one of the elegant temple still in good its stuccos. Have a bird’s eye view of Bagan by a different corner. Cool down your day at a forest monastery and Myingabar village. At night, enjoy the amazing Dandaree show with state-of-the-art performance, reflecting the gracious history & culture of Bagan Dynasty. Overnight at Bagan.


Day - 08 Bagan - Inle Lake

Upon arrival to Heho airport by morning flight, drive (50 min) to Nyaung Shwe, the gate way to Inle Lake. Inle Lake exists 970 meters above the sea level and this lake is the home land of Inthar tribe. Visit the regional rotating marketplace held in every fifth day around the lake if today coincides with the market day. Phaungdawoo Pagoda, famous for its richly gilded five small Buddha images and its history. Ngaphechaung monastery (known as jumping cat monastery for trained jumping cats), over 160 years old monastery with its collection of ancient artifacts. Other attractions includeunique leg-rowing style and fishing method of the Innthar; floating gardens and vegetable plantations; weaving factory and black smith. Overnight at Inle Lake.


Day - 09 Inle Lake: Indein

Breakfast at the hotel. Board on the boat to the south-west by a small twist and turn creek running into the lake to reach the Indein village, a small village located at the south western bank of the lake, famous for its ruined clusters of pagodas dated back to 16th century. The tranquility, peaceful ambience and ruins overgrown among bushes would bring you to centuries back. In the late afternoon, if time permits, walk or take a bicycle to explore around Nyaung Shwe and beyond. Overnight at Inle Lake.


Day - 10 Inle Lake - Ngapali

This morning, you are transferred to Heho Airport for your departure flight to Thandwe Airport where you will be picked up by the hotel’s representative and taken to the most beautiful beach of Myanmar. It’s a great time for you to unwind yourself after a week tour of one place to another. Enjoy the beach at your own pace.


Day - 11 Ngapali

Snorkeling, scuba diving & nearby island boat trips are available. Enjoy the beach at your own pace.


Day - 12 Ngapali - Mrauk U

Transfer to airport for one-hour flight to Sittwe. Upon arrival transfer to the jetty for the local small boat to Mrauk U sailing approximate 6 hours. Enjoying life along Kispanadi river and viewing sunset. Transfer to hotel by jeep.


Day - 13 Mrauk U

Breakfast at hotel and visit Mrauk U archaeological zone. Highlights; Shittaung pagoda, Andawthein temple, Dukenthein temple, Laymyatnhar pagoda, Laungbonbrauk pagoda, Annawmar Image and Pitakettiek library. Afternoon visit archeological Museum, Palace site, Sakya Manaung pagoda Koethaung temple, Ratana Manaung pagoda, Bandoola Monastery, Latsaykan lake and Zina Manaung pagoda etc. Sunset from Shwedaung hill.


Day - 14 Mrauk U

Environ of Mrauk U has over hundred villages which are surrounded by rivers and mountains. Perfect nature with authentic features. Visiting to the Chin village and the trip up-stream along the Lemro River is exciting.

Depart by jeep/light truck approximate 30 min drive through paddy fields and farms at both sides. The road is rough and bumpy. Tour along Lemro River. Some villages are hidden under the trees and surrounded with farms and crops. Fields of banana and bamboo are studded on the hilly parts. Then take a boat to Kein chaung village. Watching scenery and village lives along Lemro River is unforgettable. Visit to tattooed face women house and observe daily chore. Sin Gay village is like sort of paint where has the meandering river with pebble and fishes, vertical uprising mountains, sort of birds. Sin Gay is bamboo-producing site. Have picnic lunch at a bamboo house in Sin Gay village. Return to Mrauk U watching sun set over the river.


Day - 15 Mrauk U - Sittwe - Yangon

After breakfast, take your private boat for the journey back to Sittwe. Sit back in comfortable deck chairs and once again take in life on the river as you cruise down the Kaladan River. Read your book, snooze or simply observe the slow and melodic way of life seldom seen anywhere in the world. Lunch at a local restaurant in Sittwe before a transfer to the airport and return flight to Yangon.


Day - 16 Departure Yangon

Breakfast at hotel. Free & easy at you own until you will be transferred to Yangon International Airport for your international departure flight.

Thanlyin (Syriam) & Kyauktan (50 km from Yangon)

Thanlyin was formerly known as Syriam. It is located on the south bank of Yangon River, and is a major port. In the late 1500s, Thanlyin was the base of the Portuguese adventurer, Philip De Brito. Officially a trade representative from Rakhine, he established himself as a local warlord from his base at Thanlyin, and hired his forces on occasion to the Mon in their battles against the Bamar. It was destroyed by King Alaungpaya in 1756 during the Mon revolt. There is National Races village before getting Thanlyin. Yele Pagoda is erected on the island of in the middle of a river in Kyauktan. Yele Pagoda at Kyauktan means the Pagoda in mid-stream on a laterite reef. The pagoda was built by King Zeyasana, the seventh king of the Pada Dynasty in the third century BC. The height of the original pagoda was only 11ft. The only way to get into the pagoda is by the boat. Foreigners are required to sit at a larger boat which differs from the smaller ones that the locals take due to safety concerns.

Bago City (80 km north of Yangon)

Bago is just 80 km north of Yangon. Apparently Mons were the first people to settle at this site. There is a village staying Mons near Shwetharlyaung pagoda. Two Mon brothers Thamala and Wimala from Thaton first founded the city about 825 A.D. In 13th century Bago was made the capital of the Mon Kingdom and it came to be known as Hansavati (Hanthawaddy). In 1553 AD, King Bayintnaung built Kanbawzathardi palace and unified second Myanmar emperor lasted till 1581 AD. Famous places and pagodas worth visiting are the Shwe Maw Daw, Shwe Tha Lyaung and Kyaikpun Pagoda. Shwe Aung Yway Hillock is the highest where you can have bird’s eye view over Bago city. Kyakhatwai monastery is the third largest learning center for Buddhist scripture.
