Day 2: YANGON SIGHTSEEING (B/L/D)

A brief City tour includes:  Down town Yangon, St. Mary's Cathedral, Botahtaung Pagoda, Pansodan Jetty, China Town, Chauk htet Kyi Pagoda and The Majestic Shwe Dagon, one of the wonders of the world. Lunch at a local restaurant and Welcome International Buffet Dinner at Karaweik Palace with culture show.

Day 3: YANGON - MANDALAY (By Flight) - SAGAING - AMARAPURA – MANDALAY (B/L/D)

After breakfast at the hotel, leave Yangon for flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival to Mandalay TadaOo Airport , drive to Sagaing Hill, the Vatican City of the East where numerous monasteries can be seen everywhere, is an important religious & monastic center of Myanmar. You can listen to the monks’ daily educational rhymes in this former Royal Capital between 1760-1763.  During your trip to Sagaing, visit Sitagu International Buddhist Academy, Umin Thonze pagoda and Soon Oo Pon Nya Shin pagoda. The panoramic view of Sagaing from these temples will simply fascinate you and it is very worthwhile. Later on you can visit Ti-Lawka-Guru where mural paintings can be seen in this cave temple & Ywa-Htaung village to observe Silver-Smith workshops. Thereafter, take 30 minutes drive to Amarapura, being famous for Maha Gandaryone Monastery & U Pein teak bridge. Then, proceed to Maha Muni Image - a bronze Buddha image casted during the lifetime of Buddha himself.  Hotel check- in & overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

Day 4: MANDALAY – MINGUN – MANDALAY (B/L/D)

This morning, after breakfast at your hotel, drive to Mandalay pier, embarking on a private boat upstream to visit Mingun, about 11 km upstream from Mandalay on the western bank of the Ayeyarwady River, is noted for its huge unfinished Pahtodawgyi Pagoda, ruins of two big lions and 90-ton Mingun Bell, supposed to be the Largest ringing bell in the world, Mya-Thein-Dan Pagoda, the best representation of the Universe in Buddhism. A 45 minute boat trip to Mingun is very pleasant with plenty of life on the river to observe. Return to Mandalay and have lunch at a local restaurant with your own account. In the afternoon, visit Mandalay Palace, Shwe Nandaw Monastery - noted for its exquisite wood carvings, Kuthodaw Pagoda - known as the world biggest book and finish the tour by visiting Mandalay Hill to watch the sun-set and the panoramic view of the city. In the late evening, enjoy dinner at Green Elephant restaurant. And if you wish, you can finish your wonderful night by enjoying the shows at Myanmar Marionettes’ Theatre (10,000 kyats per ticket) OR Mintha Theatre (8,000 kyats per ticket) .The One-Hour shows usually start at 8:30 PM and you can purchase the tickets from us. Transfer back to your hotel & overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: MANDALAY– INLE LAKE (B/L/D)

Leave Mandalay for Heho by flight. You will be welcomed by our local tour guide at Heho airport and proceed to  Inle Lake, the second largest lake in Myanmar, located 900m above sea level and is home to unique one- leg rowers, the Intha people. Upon arrival, board on motorboat for a sightseeing tour to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, famed for its richly gilded five small Buddha images, also is believed the holiest in Inle Lake. Our next visit is Nga Phe Chaung monastery, known as jumping cat Monastery. As you travel further to Nam Pan village, cotton and lotus weaving factories & cigar making houses will impress you with a sense of traditional Intha life. Tour proceeds to Ywa-ma Village to observe traditional silver & gold smith workshops. The excursion tour ends in the late afternoon. Overnight at hotel in Inle Lake.

Day 6: INLE LAKE EXCURSION (B/L/D)

This morning, you will visit the 5 days Market which is held in different villages dwelling in the lake. It is definitely fascinating to enjoy the scene of local tribes in their colorful clothes and exotic market atmosphere. After lunch time, the boat will take you to beautiful temples of Indein, located on the hill overlooking the lake. It will be definitely relaxing to walk along the corridor and enjoy the giant columns which have been left to the nature for centuries. In the evening, relax at the hotel and enjoy the beauty & tranquility of the nature that the Lake offers.

Day 7: INLE LAKE-BAGAN (B/L/D)

Today, we are flying to Bagan. After your breakfast in your hotel, you are transferred to Heho Airport. Upon arrival to Nyaung U Airport, you are welcomed by your local Tour Guide and he will take you to the introductory Bagan tour, which will include the following highlights: 

Nyaung Oo Market

Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of later Myanmar stupas

Soya Bean Paste Production site to observe how local food is being made

Kyansitta Umin, a tunnel with an interesting feature of mural paintings

Wetkyi-Inn-Gubyaukkyi, a temple with fine mural paintings of Jataka Scenes

Hti-lo-min-lo, one of the largest temples, noted for its fine plaster carvings on the arch pediments, frieze and pilaster

Photo stop at Kay Min Kha for a fine view & angle for shooting with a cluster of temples

Ananda Temple, 1090 AD, master piece of early style of temple-architecture with four huge Buddha Images in standing position

Anada Brick Monastery, with its 18th century paintings depicting Buddha’s life and elements of the history of Bagan.

Check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, tour proceeds to: Lacquer ware workshop, to observe the process of making a lacquer ware and its showroom; Dhamayangyi, the most massive temple among other temples in Bagan; Sulamani Temple with some of Bagan's finest ornamental work which are carved stucco on moldings, pediments and pilasters. Overnight at the Hotel in Bagan.

Day 8: BAGAN (B/L/D)

This morning full day Bagan tour starts with Tharabar Gate, the eastern gate of the old wall and the main gateway to the ancient Bagan city. Next, we are driving to Taung-Bi Village to observe local village life, rice noodle factory, and down to river side to see how water is being carried by bullock-carts, and visit the local market. Later on, visit to Archaeological Zone & Museum which has a collection of more than 2,000 items including Buddha Statues stucco pieces, terra-cotta cups and pots. Lunch break and take a short rest at your hotel. In the afternoon tour proceeds to : Manuha Temple built in Mon style from 1059; Nanpaya Temple, said to have been the residence of King Manuha; Gupyaukkyi Temple in Myinkabar. In the evening, you are going to take a Horse-cart ride to Bu Phaya which is standing on the brink of the Ayeyawady River for a short private boat trip to enjoy one of the best sunset views in the world.  After sunset, you will be transferred to Irrawaddy Fine Dining at Amata Boutique House for dinner. Enjoy the Traditional Puppet Show (off season) or Myanmar Cultural dance (high season) while having delicious Myanmar cuisines. Transfer to your hotel after the dinner.

Day 9: BAGAN - SALAY- Mt. POPA – BAGAN (B/L/D)

Today, it’s time to change the place and the environment. Just leave Bagan temples behind for a while and drive south for 1 hour to Chauk and visit the local Market and then continue to Salay (another 30 minutes) to visit Salay Youk Sone Monastery, a 19th century wooden monastery with exquisite wooden carvings and Man pagoda with a Buddha Image made of lacquer before visiting the old Colonial Buildings.

Later on, drive towards east for about 1 hour to visit the famous Mt. Popa where 37 Nat have been worshiped since ancient times.

Lunch will be served at Popa Mountain Resort . The resort is being known as a hidden pleasure & a true escape from the outside world.

After lunch, climb up 777 steps to reach the top of the volcanic plug and learn about the Nat Shrines from your tour guide while walking along with the monkeys in the mountain. Upon arrival to the top, enjoy the glorious views over Myinkyan plain.  

Thereafter, return to Bagan from the spiritual mountain. On the way to Bagan, you can stop at road side villages to observe how jaggery is being made out of toddy palm juice & also the work of the toddy palm climbers. Transfer back to your hotel after that. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

Day 10: BAGAN – YANGON (B/L/D)

After breakfast at hotel, leave Bagan for Yangon by flight. Upon arrival to Yangon Airport, you will be picked up by our local guide and start your Yangon Tour with the Royal White Elephants in the Hsin Hpyu Daw Park. And then visit Kyauk Taw Gyi Pagoda which is just across the street. Lunch break & check in at hotel. And then proceed to National Museum to see the Lion Throne of last Myanmar Dynasty & other interesting things about Myanmar history & culture. In the afternoon, enjoy your shopping time in Scott market. Farewell Dinner will be served at Padonmar Restaurant.

Day 11: DEPARTURE YANGON (B/-/-)
